NICE addendum on Type 2 diabetes: prevention in people at high risk (standing committee update of PH38)

This final addendum has now been published on the NICE website, this guideline covers how to identify adults at high risk of type 2 diabetes. It aims to remind practitioners that age is no barrier to being at high risk of, or developing, the condition. It also aims to help them provide those at high risk with an effective and appropriate intensive lifestyle-change programme to prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes.

You can also find the supporting evidence as well as all the stakeholder comments that we received during consultation and the responses to these comments. The comments were invaluable in helping us to develop and refine the addendum. We have also produced an equality impact assessment to support the addendum.

The Institute of Chiropodists and Podiatrists are stakeholders in this NICE guideline and other ‘behind the scenes’ in the support of our members.
